TelCom is a specialized contractor providing construction and maintenance services to telecommunications providers throughout the United States. We take pride in being self-performing and turn-key, offering a full spectrum of services, including underground, aerial and wireless construction, engineering, project management, installation, and splicing.

Since our establishment in 2000, TelCom has built an impressive client portfolio by developing and embracing a genuine partnership approach with our customers and creating unique solutions to meet their individual project goals and objectives. Through the years, we have worked on a multitude of projects including RUS projects, power installation, telecommunications construction and installation, manhole systems, cable reclamation, bridge attachments, gas distribution, and wind generation. TelCom Construction has also completed several joint trench projects and power projects in both rural and urban areas.

At TelCom, we continually work to expand our workforce, geographic footprint as well as the breadth of services we provide. In addition to our headquarters in Minnesota, we have dozens of field offices across Central and Southwestern United States, from which our 400+ professionals operate.

OSP Construction & Maintenance

TelCom has extensive experience in both aerial and underground construction, whether it be upgrades, maintenance, repair, or establishment of entirely new systems. We have completed projects in various soil conditions, from as little as a few hundred feet to hundreds of miles. Single, joint trenching, plowing, directional drilling, cable pulling, conduit placing, and manhole systems are all within our capabilities. Our aerial team carries out a full suite of services, including pole installation and transfer, cable de-lash and re-lash, and strand and cable placement. TelCom has become an industry leader in the installation of FTTX by effectively and efficiently tackling direct burial, duct as well as aerial installation. Additionally, our 24/7 maintenance and support effort has helped us become a leader in maintenance, known for reliable service, quality work, and competitive pricing.

Fiber Splicing

Our highly-trained fiber splicing specialists have many decades of combined experience in their trade. Armed with the most advanced fusion machines and testing equipment, they’re able to fortify networks with connections strong enough to support today’s growing demand with the lowest possible link loss and increased uptime. Each of our certified splicing technicians receives ongoing training and education to keep up with the best industry practices and keep our service on the cutting edge.

Engineering

TelCom engineers have the skills to offer solutions for even the most complex telecom and utility systems. From planning to permitting, we employ a highly qualified staff that is capable of fulfilling permitting work application needs. In addition to providing a permit package, we can handle the submittable plans to the applicable city, county, or state departments for permit approval. Our years of experience, good reputation, and relationship with city, county, and state inspectors have helped facilitate the permitting process.

Our engineering team participates in ongoing technical training to ensure our skills, tools and methodologies are always up to date with the latest best industry practices to best meet the expectations and specifications of our customers.

Project Management

TelCom has knowledgeable management and quality control teams in place for the benefit of our customers. All projects have a pre-construction review by a construction supervisor, which includes locates, job ride-out, checking prints for accuracy, and problem-solving. Any discrepancies or changes needed are relayed to the project manager immediately. No matter what obstacles arise, we’ll be sure to overcome them on time and within budget.
